VISION, MISSION & OBJECTIVE

1. (A) AFP is established to effectively mainstream smallholder rural/urban farmers, women, and youths’ participation in agricultural and agro-food activities within their respective localities as well as to create a new breed of agribusiness entrepreneurs, SMEs which are critical resources of nation-building considering their potential, numbers, vitality, and capabilities as change agents for national transformation.

(B) Organizes Agricultural Summits, Trade shows and investment/Farmer’s stakeholders forum, International Agribusiness exhibitions, Conferences, Agro stakeholders’ meetings, Training and capacity buildings, Agribusiness stakeholders award, and Local/Intl. Agricultural show

2. To contribute to creating an enabling environment for the development of agribusiness production, processing, and marketing for agro-allied/food products; Agric input dealers, and smallholder farmers’ cooperative value chain development. 

3. To promote and encourage SMEs and business support services to Agribusiness vendors, agro-food products, Agric input dealers, Smallholder farmers, and Agribusiness associations.

4. To support the United Nation program on agribusiness education, food and nutrition, Food systems, and Market information that will help to advance the entire world’s food sufficiency and agribusiness development.

5. To create an enabling platform and opportunity for the financial institutions and Insurance companies to meet the agribusiness operators and stakeholders for capacity building, financial information services, market information services, and network availability to the Agribusiness entrepreneurs. This will help to provide financial and market information services and networks to SMEs and the Smallholders agribusiness entrepreneurs.

6. To create opportunities for the agric input dealers, agro-food products, Smallholder farmers, Agribusiness entrepreneurs, youths, and women to acquire basic knowledge and principles to start and operate a profitable agro enterprise thereby creating jobs for their host communities.

7. To helped to raise entrepreneurs and business owners who can compete globally, manage micro, small and medium scale enterprises, and provide the catalyst for the industrialization of the country.

8. To use the agribusiness magazines and newsprints which are published monthly and quarterly to educate, and empower the knowledge base of the rural and urban Farmers, Smallholder farmers, Agribusiness entrepreneurs, agric input dealers, and stakeholders on current beneficial information which will help to increase their production, processing’s, marketing and business networks across the globe.

9. To use capacity building programs, Training, and Conferences/Summits to bring together agribusiness stakeholders, FBOs, Smallholder farmers, Agribusiness entrepreneurs, agric input dealers for knowledge sharing and impartation, business networking, Investment and trade, Market and Financial information.

Our Mission

Africa Farming Project (AFP) mission is to contribute to the promotion of Agribusiness , Food and Nutrition, Food systems and Security, Trade and Investment promotion, Job creation, Eradication of poverty, Organizers of both International and local exhibitions and shows, Publishing/Communication, Supports local and international market networks, Market development and Market information services, Data collection and Data Networking services, Promoting and supporting sustainable agribusiness value chains development, Capacity building/Training, organizing of trade shows/Summits, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development, Advocacy, Research, Entrepreneurship and leadership Development.

Our Vision

AFP is involve in promoting and supporting sustainable agribusiness , investments and food system in Nigeria which in turn contributes to economic empowerment  thereby uplifting the poorer rural households out of poverty, ensuring rural employment and improving the  livelihood of the farming community and food security.

AFP is also involved in data collection and market information services, promoting and supporting sustainable agribusiness, food and nutrition development in Nigeria by encouraging various agribusiness value chains.

AFP is also involved in promoting and supporting sustainable agribusiness development in Nigeria by encouraging, Capacity building and supporting the Smallholder farmers, youths and women in various agribusiness value chain, market and market networking, training and general networking of the various farming communities, Research institutions, agencies, financial institutions, Insurance, investors, government and the public.

AFP has been involved in promoting and assisting both commercial and smallholder farmers in building and developing agribusiness, agro-food products and agriculture industry in Nigeria. Have assisted Manufacturers, Agro food producers, processors, marketers, distributors, importers and exporters of agribusiness using their information network across Nigeria states. AFP has been in information and data network of agro business in Nigeria for over 15 years. It has strong affiliates of major farmer’s network, food/nutrition and Agribusiness stakeholders’ associations {AFAN, FISON, NVMA, PAN, CAFAN, RIFAN, AAIAN, CLN, ASAN, CADAP, and Commercial Agricultures in Nigeria, Agribusiness Cooperatives, Women and Youths Agribusiness networks and Agribusiness Processors Association of Nigeria}.

Africa Farming Project with Espera STRAFADS has formed Espera STRAFADSAfrica Farming Project Commodity Distributors Association network with the acronym AFP-CODA, a body dedicated to the research and marketing, with value addition of agro-food products across the Nigeria states.

Our History

Africa farming project (AFP) started operation since 1998 and was fully registered with corporate affairs commission (CAC) of Nigeria National Government in 20th April 2005. With registration number -  RC 622014
